Director Gauri Shinde's movie 'Dear Zindagi' starring Alia bhat and Shah Rukh Khan got mixed reviews from audiences, but thumbs up from Critics.
Dear Zindagi is a unique, meaningful concept which offers important message rather than providing entertainment. The film showcases that happiness is all about finding comfort in life's imperfections.

Story of Dear Zindagi :
Dear Zindagi is a comedy drama which offers many life tips. The story of the movie revolves around the budding cinematographer Kaira (Alia Bhat) who does small ads and projects but wants to shoot entire film. She is in search of a perfect life. She happens to meet Dr. Jahangir Khan aka Jug (SRK) an a unconventional thinker. The rest of the movie is all about how Jug advices and throws the life tips to Kaira to gain new perspectives about life.
The movie also include a back story where Alia playing a lovely girl character flits like a butterfly from Raghuvendra (Kunal Kapoor) to Sid (Angad Bedi) later to Rumi (Ali Zafar). How she catches the life tips or morals thrown from Jug is the source of Dear Zindagi.

Review Of Dead Zindagi :
Gauri Shinde has choosen a simple story which revolves around Alia and SRK. Alia one of the better actress of this generation, has done justice to her role with an excellent performance. As usual SRK given 100% and impresssed with his charm. Performance of both leading actors are the highlight of the film.
Apart from Alia & Shah Rukh Khan, Ali Zafar, Kunal Kapoor, Angad Bedi seen as the boyfriends of Kaira more like a guest role than properly etched characters. Ira Dubey, Aditya Roy Kapoor seen as supporting roles.
Apart from the actors, Gauri shinde created a brilliant screen play  which is engaging and entertaining right from beginning till the end. The movie has good production values, music, cinematography and selection of the beautiful locations are the highlights of the technical front.
Less of action, less of romance and more of SRK and Alia scenes keep the audiences in a boring mood. Direction also not up to the standards.
